Mixing up similar words constantly, help!

Hey everyone! I keep mixing up words that sound super similar or have almost the same vibe. Like I learn one and then another one completely replaces it in my brain lol. I tried using silly mnemonics and color coding my flashcards but it's still happening. What actually works for you guys to keep them separate? Maybe drawing pictures? I need some new hacks to try out!
