why does 番 look like so many other things

bro i swear 番 is cursed. i always write it wrong on my phone and autocorrect makes it 'band' but in my head its just 'rice field on top of a hat'?? but then i mix it up with 留 from 停留 and my whole brain just melts. wait is it my turn or my number? anyways im so tiered of getting this wrong on anki. does anyone else see a face in it or is it just me??
