how do people memorize 兎 without losing their mind

ok so im trying to drill 兎 because it keeps popping up but writing it out like 50 times makes me want to scream. wait is this dumb but does the bottom part look like legs? or am i just making that up lol. i tried drawing little ears on it to make it fun but now i just get 混乱 and confuse it with other things. how do you guys practice this without dying of boredom?
