Data-driven check: SRS vs. Contextual Reading

I tracked my retention over 20 days to see if context beats rote memorization. Using historical articles, terms like '家督' stuck immediately because of the narrative arc, unlike my old SRS deck. I also saw '排出' in a scientific journal, and my recall speed during tests improved by 1.5 seconds. Moving to thematic reading solved my boredom and boosted my data. Has anyone else measured the impact of context?
