Connecting grammar is a joke

Honestly how do people do this. I see those 19yo influencers on TikTok claiming they got fluent in 6 months by just 'vibin' with native materials. Meanwhile I try to connect two basic grammar patterns to explain a simple train delay and my brain completely retreats. It feels like there's some secret spec manual for this language that I missed. I'm just so tired of staring at Genki and feeling like a failure.
