wait is 降伏 supposed to be happy or did i mess up

okay so i was listening to this song and i swear they said koufuku and the subtitles said happiness but then i looked up the kanji and got 降伏 which dictionary says is surrender??? wait is surrendering like a happy thing in japan or did i completely mix up the kanji with something else... im so lost is there another koufuku i don't know about or are they the same thing idk help
