Learning in short bursts?

I've been trying to find ways to study Japanese when I only have a few minutes during the day. Usually I just look at words while waiting for coffee or on the bus. It feels like I'm moving slow like a baby but I guess it adds up? Does anyone else combine their study with chores or random breaks. I want to make sure I'm not wasting my time if I can't sit down for a long session.
