Honestly people overcomplicate particles. If you've studied Russian like I have, you'd know the topic and subject markers are literally just basic nominative and accusative cases. Everyone makes a big deal about 'nuances' but it's just standard declension logic. Just map them to European grammar and you'll speak perfectly. Textbooks just want your money lol.
