Testing context-based immersion vs. SRS for technical terms

I recently ran a two-week experiment swapping my standard flashcard routine for a context-first approach. My retention for complex specialized vocabulary jumped from 40% to 75% when I studied terms within real-world reports instead of isolated lists. This method completely solved my boredom issues.
