Genki makes you think 床 is always 'yuka' for floor. Wrong. Every native actually says 'toko' because real Japanese culture is built on tatami, not western apartments. If you say 'yuka' you sound like a textbook-obsessed robot. Real speakers use 'toko' for everything sleeping-related anyway. Trust me on this one.
