how do you deal with words with like 50 meanings

i was literally crying in my car earlier because work was so bad my boss is such a pain then i came home to study and opened my deck and this one word popped up and it has like eight different definitions depending on context??? one is like monument and another is completely different and i just sat there staring at my screen. how do you guys even memorize this stuff like do you just pick one meaning or what
