Getting particles to sound natural in casual speech

I used to overthink particles and try to use them perfectly like a textbook. Yesterday I realized native speakers drop them way more than I thought when they talk fast. My mistake was trying to force every single one of them. The lesson is that keeping it minimal actually helps the flow. How do you guys practice choosing when to drop them?
