Speed writing: Stick to Kanji or switch to Kana?

Hey everyone! Oliver here. I've been experimenting with different ways to take notes faster. When you're scribbling things down in a hurry, do you guys try to push through with Kanji, or is it better to just deal with it using Kana to save time? I want to stay consistent, but sometimes those complex characters really slow me down! What's your strategy for keeping up the pace?
