ok so my textbook says 尋ねる means to ask. but wait is it the same word as たすけて (help)?? they sound so similar on audio. and also can i use 尋ねる to ask for a favor like 'pedir' in spanish? or is it just for questions like 'preguntar'? the book doesn't explain this at all and im so lost. is this dumb to ask idk
