textbook definition of 覚悟 is a joke

genki says 覚悟 is 'resolution' like a cute little goal but in reality people only say it before they die or do something miserable. i guess the influencers who claim they got fluent in 6 months had the '覚悟' to lose their entire social life. my only 覚悟 is accepting i'll be stuck on kanji forever.
