Ugh, seeing people try to read and listen simultaneously is painful. Literally everyone does this wrong. The human brain physically cannot process logographic characters and audio phonemes at the same time—it's basic linguistics. It's called the silent-front reduction rule. You need to read the text silently first to build the mental pathway, then listen separately. Doing both just trains you to ignore sounds.
