is anyone else constantly mixing up 名簿 with other mei words

ok so 名簿 (meibo) right?? i kept saying it like MAY-BOW like a rainbow but my tutor looked at me like i had three heads lol. basically its a register or list but i always mix it up with 迷路 because they both have that mei sound and honestly lists feel like mazes anyway?? pro tip guys just pronounce the BO part really short like youre hitting a drum BO! and then you wont confuse it with 籍 or whatever
