is it just me or is 和解 impossible to remember

so i was trying to read this article about some company dispute and they used 和解 which is fine but i kept translating it as 'young reconciliation' because of 若い?? or is it 和食? anyway i got totally lost because there was also 火事 in the next sentence and i started thinking about fire trucks. what was i asking again? oh yeah how do you not mix up 和解 with other wakai words. my brain is mush today lol
