honestly why are people struggling with 果たす

I always see people online tripping over 果たす and mixing it up with 払う or 張る for some reason? Literally just use your brain. In Spanish we say 'dar fruto' to mean succeeding, and '果' is fruit, so 果たす is just 'to fruit' your goals. It's the exact same linguistic logic. If you know any Romance language at all this is literally basic stuff. Stop overcomplicating it.
