Textbooks got reading and listening totally wrong

Textbooks telling you to separate reading and listening is peak amateur hour. Real immersion is doing both at once. Every native kid literally learns by reading manga while listening to the anime dub. Just put on a podcast about indoor exhibitions, read the script at 1.5x speed, and let your brain fuse them. If you aren't doing this, you're just wasting your time.
