Dealing with words that have way too many meanings

I spent the last month testing if it's better to learn all definitions at once or just the main one. Brute forcing every niche meaning was killing my pace. I switched to just one core definition and then moved on. My review sessions are way faster now and the weird secondary meanings actually started clicking on their own when I saw them in context. It feels less efficient on paper but my actual recall is way higher
