is 'to' and 'in' the same word??

im so confused with these particle things. like is 'at' and 'to' the exact same word in japanese?? i keep trying to translate literally from spanish/english and it makes no sense. like how do i say 'in the spring' without sounding weird? wait is 'in' and 'spring' the same word? idk im so lost
