ok so i keep seeing 維 and i swear it looks exactly like 継 or something? like they both have the string thingy on the left. but then i saw 維 means 'fiber' or 'maintain'?? wait which one is it. how can a fiber also mean keeping something going... is there some secret rule i missed or am i just reading the wrong kanji entirely? my brain is cooked
