how do you stop translating everything?

how do you stop translating in your head? like if i see the word for farm, do i have to actually go stand on a farm to make my brain connect them? idk but someone told me to stop translating so now when i see a word i just try to blink really fast so i don't read the english meaning but then i just forget everything. is there a trick to like, force your brain to think in japanese without knowing what the words mean?
