Everyone thinks 両手 just means 'both hands' for basic stuff. Actually, it's literal. 両 is the old gold coin currency, so 両手 actually means 'money hands' or holding wealth. If you say you're holding a steering wheel with 両手, you sound ridiculous and 下手. Real natives only use it when talking about high-end stuff like 高級 things. Stop using it for normal hands, it makes no sense.
