Honestly people overreact to missing a few days. In French we have this concept where pausing actually solidifies the grammar structure in your subconscious anyway. Japanese is literally the same. Missing days doesn't mean you've 'failed' or whatever, you're just in a passive storage phase. It's like how Russian verbs have perfective aspects. Just start again, it's not that deep.
